Hello there! My name's Francis Wang and I'm a polymath-in-training who's fascinated by a variety of interests, my friends often joke that I'm a *collector of certificates*. I've since realized the value of [[Sensemaking and Intellectual Output]].
> In practice, I'm a sustainability entrepreneur who believes in the value of using economic and business forces - some of the most powerful incentives humankind has invented, to make the ***good things we can do*** also the ***easiest, cheapest, and most accessible*** things to do. If I were to describe myself as an artist, my preferred medium would be entrepreneurship.
Originally, my background was in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship. I've led multiple companies to successful exits (70M & 650M) in engineering and product roles. My studies have since expanded into more domains to encourage knowledge cross-pollination and better thinking.
I have concentrated my domains of study into *four major pillars*, click through them to see my detailed background in each field.
* [[Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology]]
* [[Sustainability and Sustainable Design]]
* [[Health, Fitness, and Longevity]]
* [[Learning and Knowledge Management]]
These concentration pillars came together naturally, as I believe that [[Biological Immortality]] has crossed into the realm of possibility (but not certainty).
When I meditated on it's implications, I realized I needed domain expertise over *health and longevity* to actualize it for myself, and just as critically - for the world to be a beautiful place that still worth living in.
This brought in the the importance of my *efforts in sustainability*, which I bring through my backgrounds in *entrepreneurship, software, and design* - but perhaps these are means to an end, what's the point of living for so long?
The answer I found was the *inherent beauty of wisdom*. It genuinely takes a traditional lifetime to gain a deep level of understanding simply to glimpse at the underlying beauty of a domain. An infinite amount of time is just about what I need to satisfy my curiosities, and for what I see as pursuing [[The Meaning of Life]].
The perfect day for me is one where get to take great care of my body, and have plenty of time to *think actively*. This either means:
* I'm learning and sense-making which manifest into digital products (checkout [[Courses and Toolkits]]); or
* I'm using what I know to problem-solve and explore future scenarios, which often manifest into [[Venture Initiatives]]. And hopefully, some genuine inventions on the way.
